Make Your Own Stick Vase Craft

Summer is here and maybe the kids are bored, well her is a great craft that is very inexpensive and fun for everyone. Either in your own back yard or take a walk around the neighborhood. The best part of this is you can make it totally your own or follow these instructions.
This is great for not only sticks but shells from the beach or maybe even for your wedding if you are having an outdoor wedding these would be great table decorations and you could do a bigger version for a centerpiece!
Here are some instructions from family fun.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Sticks (about 1/4 inch in diameter), clippers, an empty plastic peanut butter jar (or other empty jar), thick rubber bands, raffia or ribbon, glue and pinecones (optional).

How To Make a Stick Vase

HOW IT'S DONE:

Break or snip your sticks to about an inch longer than the jar. Put two rubber bands around the jar, one inch from the top and bottom. Now begin tucking the sticks under both rubber bands, placing them as close as possible to each other. Once you've surrounded the jar with sticks, slide the rubber bands together at the jar's middle, then cover them with a decorative bow. Glue on a few pine cones, then fill the vase with flowers. For campers uninterested in flower arrangements, this vessel also makes a fine pencil holder.

Have fun with this craft and get creative the possibilities are endless!
