Great for Crafty Tots!

Wow who would have thought that are kids would be able to write on walls with no worries to us Parents. I wish they had this back in the day when I was growing up. My 2 little girls LOVE to write on walls and chairs and tables and well lets face it anything and everything they can! Creative for them and no fun for Mom because I have to clean it up, or figure out a way to get the Black Permanent Marker off the White Walls, UGH! I thought if I got this would it make my kids want to still write on everything and think its ok, or would they understand that they can ONLY write on the chalk board paint area or dry erase area? They do have a Crayola 3in1 Craft Easel with the dry erase and chalk board, they love it and use it everyday and that has helped my walls and floors and pictures marker free so far.  I think that this paint would not only be fun but it would make them understand they can only draw or write in this certain area and in the end they get to be creative and have fun! I mean not every kid has a cool wall just for them to draw on right! ;D

Here are the Technical Details for the Chalk Board:
Soap & water clean up

Indoor use only
Scratch resistant
Use on wood, metal, plaster, paper-board, hardboard
Superior hardness

Product Description:
From the Manufacturer
Rust-Oleum Specialty Chalk Board converts surfaces into a usable chalkboard. Apply to metal, wood, masonry, drywall, plaster, glass, concrete, unglazed ceramics and hardboard. Erases cleanly.
Product Description
Create a chalkboard on virtually any surface. Formulated with extremely hard pigments to out perform the competition won't leave scratch marks where the chalk was used. Converts wood, metal, plastic, glass, paperboard, and hardboard into a usable chalkboard.
The reviews on Amazon are really good for this product and I think everyone should have this for their kids who are school age it makes learning fun and it could be helpful for imaginary play they can play school.

Now for the Technical Details on the Dry Erase Paint:

Easy to use two part water based system
Roll on application
Minimal odor
Compatible with any dry erase markers and erasers
Ideal for dry wall, metal, Masonite, cement, wood and more
Product Description
From the Manufacturer:
Dry Erase creates a unique writable-erasable surface for walls, doors, cabinet doors, message centers, menu boards, toy chests, easels, and craft projects. Customize dry erase surface into any unique shape or place in office or home. Only paint of its kind that creates a true writable-erasable finish.

Product Description:
RUST-OLEUM-Dry Erase Paint. First there was chalkboard paint and magnetic paint now they have introduced a dry erase paint. This would be great for a child's bedroom playroom or home office. It is described as a smooth hard finish that creates a unique white writable/erasable surface. Once dry simply use any dry erase markers to draw or write messages and then erase. Application is easy and has minimal odor making it safe to use indoors. Covers a 7 ft. x 7 ft. area. Made in China.

OK so this would be fun also I see "Minimal odor" on the "Technical Details" info and it makes me worried
I hope that is only for when it is still wet from applying onto the surface your using not all the time! Other than that this product would be fantastic for a bit of an older kid I think because the makers are able to get marks on more areas than chalk if it drops to the floor or if the child forgets to put the cap back on at lease chalk doesn't dry out. I know my little one has a hard time of putting the cap back on when she is finished she just sets the marker down and leaves it. Another way I think would be super fun for either of these paints would be for a BOW HOLDER you could have them draw their own designs or write on their own Bow Holder how unique would that be!!! Since I make bows and Bow Holders I'm always looking for new ways to make the holders unique and fun and I think this would be such a great idea what do you thing?

Just Thinking Out Loud

So it is Saturday morning and I am sitting here thinking, about alot of stuff! I have so much on my plate yet I dont feel like I am doing enough. Maybe I need to have more Me time and do things for Me. As a Mom your whole life changes the world revolves around your kids everything you do is for your kids even when you are away from your kids your doing the things you do for them, right? Is there a such thing as too much? I know not all Moms are like this but a majority of them are and I think its a good thing because in the long run are next generation of kids will be LOVING and CARING about others which is a huge need in the world today!  Me personaly I want my kids to remember how great thier child hood was full of Love and fun but also I want to make sure they can go out into the world with out me I want them to be independent and strong women who give before they take but also nurture, care, have compassion and do something they love when they grow up. On top of being a Mom I am running my own Business and working Part time and oh yes going back to school! I dont know if it's the stubborn Italian in me or the fact thatI just dont know how to stop and breath for as long as I can remember I have been going and going, doing new things, trying new things, meeting new people and setting higher standards for myself. If I am sitting doing nothing I dont feel right I get bored and edgy I have to be on the move or creating something my mind often things faster than my body I it bothers me to bad I dont have 8 arms hahaha... There is so much more going on in my life that is just a few of the minor things, but I think I will make it a point to get on here and write more often than I have been maybe that can be my ME time. ;) As for now I will share a couple more pictures taken when I was in WA that place is so Beautiful I cant wait to go back!

Crafty Idea

Hello Mommy Bloggers I have a GREAT Craft Idea for you, at least I think it's GREAT Ha! So as I was shopping with a girlfriend of mine for her little girls B-Day we stopped into Claire's, well I never go in there but since she needed to I went with. WOW I found the perfect BOW HOLDER for my girls bathroom. Well it wasn't exactly a bow holder it's meant for school age kids who need to put Memos or cards or pictures on as you can see in this picture
well my kiddos bathroom isn't all Frogs and Fishes since it is also the guest bathroom we kept it looking a little more grown up with kid friendly items that go along with the "PARIS" theme! This would be perfect for a little girls room who has it decorated with the "Ooh La La Paris Poodle" line that is very popular for kids rooms! Here it is with some of my handmade Bows and headband so you can see how it works as a Bow Holder.

It worked PERFECT the alligator clips fit right between the wire it matches my decor and you could even hang ribbon from the bottom of the Eiffel Tower legs to add more bows or clips! Hope this gives you some ideas for fun ways to make everyday items into BOW HOLDERS!

6 Creative Ways to Display Family Photos: 6 Creative Ways to Display Family Photos

OK so if your like me and have ton's of photo's and you want to display them but are not sure how here is a great article for you to read. It tells you how to decorate in a creative way and this is a big trend in a lot of family homes I've noticed lately when going to visit friends houses for play dates with the kiddos. Some of these arrangements are so pretty and fun, I know what I'm doing today hanging more photos!

Tastey Tuesday

OK so here I am making lunch for my girls and I am getting hungry myself but for fried Zucchini the kind you get in a restaurant Mmm. I don't want to go out to eat or do I really want all that fat for a appetizer before we eat lunch so I decide to make my own Fried Zucchini at home but healthier! This top picture shows you the first part of making this yummy treat I put a little EVOO in the pan and heated it then added my sliced Zucchini you can even cut them long wise so it more like a french fry shape if your kids refuse to eat the circle shape! You want to do this just until they start to caramelize and brown then I added a dash of salt and pepper and cooked for another min then put some shaved Parmesan cheese on top not a lot just enough to get some cheese in every bite but not over power it with cheese and then I covered the pan for another minute or so until I felt the cheese was melted enough for me to eat. After I plated this appetizer I put more Pepper and another dash of salt on it. The taste is amazing the sweet from the carmelization once heated in the olive oil for a bit and then the salt and pepper add the best touch to contrast with the sweet and don't forget the sharp Parm taste not bitter just right ummm can we say PERFECTION!
This is the end result ENJOY!!!

Back from Washington

Ok so I am back from Washington and have sooo many pictures that I will only share a few TODAY ok hehe! I have been so busy since I've been back work, kids, and so many birthday parties going on right now. Our trip to WA was Beautiful there was so much to do and see and it wasn't that bad of weather. We started out in Bellingham in a small little town it was ADORABLE!

Then we went to visit Mt. Baker to see Waterfalls Mountains and SNOW perfect place even with my 3 and 2 year old. I would recommend everyone go visit that area they have a place called Artist Point where some world famous pictures come from and yes it was breathtaking in person. I must have taken a picture every few feet when I was there because it was just so unreal with Beauty! The second day we visited Seattle and Pikes Place it was so FUN and packed with people. Went down the Market place tried some fresh fruits Mmmm and watched them throw fish! There was tons of neat craft tables and great things to sample I ended up getting myself some yummy Aceto Balsamico to use when I make my Italian bread and Spaghetti also good tossed with basil leaves red onion and Roma tomatoes ooh I want some right now its got a hint of spice which I love!!!

The last day we went to the Tide Pools and seen Dungeness Crab, Starfish and other cool things in between the rocks both kids and adults had fun on this whole trip I would recommend bringing some good entertainment and refreshments for the car ride it wasn't to long to get to all these places from Bellingham but long enough.

Thursday

Modern Friction

So this stuff sounds great I have never used it but am thinking of getting some and right now they have free shipping on $75 or more and a free sample! Woohoo we all love Free stuff! They say it is like a dermabrasion and I'm thinking hey perfect I don't have to find a sitter or leave my house for great results that is awesome! Now I am just hoping that its really works and does act like going and getting a clinical micro-dermabrasion I will keep you posted because we all know Moms are busy and if you can do this at home more power to us right!!!

Here is some info from the Origins website:

Modern Friction™ Nature's gentle dermabrasion
Sand-blasting skin with coarse, chemical crystals? How painfully passé. Here’s age-smoothing exfoliation without irritation. Skin-refining Rice Starch, cushioned in cream, shows real affinity for rapidly removing sluggish cells, uneven patches and signs of skin damage and discolorations. Lemon Oil kick starts the process of illumination. Another age-sweeping action: skin-menacing molecules are mopped up. All while Aloe keeps skin calm and comfy. There’s no ouch, extra steps or other complications. No redness or flaking follows. The before-and-afters are amazing. Signs of fine lines and size of pores appear to shrink in size. Skin looks perfectly polished, smooth and luminous. And the perk-me-up aromas of Bergamot and Peppermint help you look on the bright side.

Origins tested Modern Friction™ on a panel of 54 women. After just one try, of those who had undergone clinical micro-dermabrasion, 94% said they would now consider using Modern Friction™ instead.

How to use: Two to three times a week, squeeze onto fingertips and massage over dry, clean skin in circular motions. For sensitive skin, massage over damp skin. Add a splash of water and work into a gentle lather. Rinse well. Follow with appropriate tonic.

*The same great Modern Friction™ you love, now in a tube!

Best for all skin types
